our mission
We build stuff… and people. The Salt and Light Co. is a small construction company that performs repairs, renovations, and demolition. In our spare time, we build furniture and create art from reclaimed materials, and we do projects to help our community, our church, friends, and people who need our help.
Our mission is to see the beauty and potential in materials, and in people, to transform them into something of greater beauty and value. Some may look at an old house or scrap of wood and think it has no value or usefulness, but we look at things differently. What others see as scrap, we see as a resource with unrealized potential. We aim to do the same with the people with whom we serve and partner.
Just like a piece of barn wood can be transformed into a beautiful table, people possess hidden beauty and value. Through creating together, we can inspire and unleash the God-given potential in people and our community through loving others and helping them realize their value while building a skillset and creating beauty.
Whether we are building a custom piece or helping a neighbor with a home improvement project, our priority is the people. We believe we are called to love all people, and we can show that through our products, services, and the relationships we build with the people we encounter through our work.

In addition to Renovations & Remodeling, we have a passion for creating unique woodworking items, from furniture, wall art, decor, etc. We are currently in the process of creating an online marketplace for these items.
